Resizing an image

Resizing an image

Any images displayed are representative only and may differ depending on the version being used.

Logos and Cover Photos must be within a certain size to be accepted for use. If your logo or cover photo is too large, you will need to resize it before uploading.

The maximum dimensions for these images can be found in the Hub by hovering your mouse over the ‘Choose File’ button where you go to upload them.

The Cover Photo gets uploaded under individual Work Package, in the Resources tab.

Your Logo should be set in Organisation Home, or can be customised for the Work Package in the Resources tab.

How to Resize an Image

To resize an image for any purpose the process is the same.

You can do this in any image editing app that you have access to. This may be an online or offline/desktop app. The general process is:

  1. Open your image in the chosen application.

  2. Find the ‘Image Size’ or ‘Resize’ option.

  3. Set new dimensions.

  4. Apply changes

  5. Save the image

Here is an example using Paint (a common Windows app).

Using Paint to resize an image

  1. Open Paint on your device.

  2. Open your logo image (jpg or png). You can see the current size in the bottom bar.

  1. Click ‘Resize’.  Then select Resize by Pixels. Ensure ‘Maintain aspect ratio’ is ticked.

Choose one dimension (horizontal or vertical), and enter new size desired.

NOTE: if resizing a logo, the longest side must be no more than 500 pixels.

  1. Click ‘OK’

  1. Then Save As a JPG or PNG file.
