Using Clarinspect to Monitor a Project

Using Clarinspect to Monitor a Project

Clarinspect has a great feature where a person from outside a company can have free read-only access to monitor and view the progress of a project in Clarinspect.

You will receive an invite to use Clarinspect, you need to "Accept the invitation” and set your password.

Your email address and the password you set will be your log in for the web console (hub.clarinspect.com).

Top Tip: Bookmark hub.clarinspect.com on your browser so it is easy for you to check in on the project.

When you log in you will see a screen like below. You will see the workpackages you have been assigned to. If you see none, then contact the company that invited you and get yourself added to one.

Any images displayed are representative only and may differ depending on the version being used.

  1. User details. Click here to edit your profile. If you are registered for multiple companies, you can choose between them here.

  2. Click on the title to view work in progress.

Note: If you are on a smaller screen you may not be able to see the left menu.  Read this guide to find out how to bring it up

All Inspection View

If you click on the Work Package title you will see a list view of all of the inspections (or penetrations) on the site.

  1. Filters. Use these to change what work is visible. Remember to click Apply.

  2. Individual inspections. Click the title to view the inspection. It will turn blue as you hover the mouse over the text.

  3. These icons indicate the state of the inspection.

  • Green tick= Finished

  • Green circle arrows = Active ( they are still working on it)

  • Grey Circle = Draft ( this is set-up but no work in the field yet)

As a monitor it is best to check the Finished and Active items.

As the field staff sync their data to the cloud you will be able to see all the details and photos at your desk.

You can tap on the title to take you into that inspection record, where you can also download the individual report and photo archive for that entry.

  1. Reports can be downloaded here. Click on the blue text.

  2. Zip files of photos can be downloaded here. Click on the blue text.

You can also see Work Package Summary Reports. These are intended to produce a report for a collection of inspections in a Work Package, and can be selected by using filters. To view the reports available, click the Summary Reports tab, and then click on the Reports Available button. Click here for more information on Work Package Summary Reports.

The views of the various screens will look slightly different when accessed from a device:

Using Site Plans

Site Plans used in a Work Package can be viewed from the main menu.

Navigating Site Plans

  1. The Current Drawing. Here you can choose which drawing to view

  2. Choose action: download drawing/ visible area, copy drawing/visible area to clipboard, download as PDF)

  3. + -: Zoom in/out - You can zoom up to 150% of the original drawing size

  4. Filters: Filter what pins are visible by inspection type, state, who it is assigned to, and date

  5. Find Text Balloon: Find Text Balloon on drawing by looking through the list or searching the ID. This is especially useful if you have lots of pins!

Filters

This section is used to choose what is shown on the selected drawing.

  1. Click to roll-up / unroll this section

  1. Type of inspection to show

  1. Filter by label

  1. Tick to show draft / active / finished work

  1. Filter by who it is assigned to

  1. Filter on date completed (from / to dates)

Cancelled Inspections are never shown. Archived and finished are included.

If you choose to filter using the date field, you do not need to set both dates. If you set only the ‘from date’ then you get all work completed since that date.

Note: Filters are applied immediately.

Find Text Balloons

This section enables the user to locate a specific text balloon (inspection / feature).

The text balloons available to search through are filtered by the choices under Filters

You can further filter the list by searching on the balloon text.

Click the entry in the ‘Find Text Balloons’ list to bring that text balloon into view. The text balloon and the pointer will also be highlighted for you.

By default if you click on an entry in the list, the drawing will pan to bring the pointer tip into view (i.e the thing being pointed at).

Similarly if you click on a text balloon or point on the drawing, this will highlight the entry in the Find text Balloons list.

You can click on the blue icon to open a new tab to look at the record for a specific item.

If the text balloon was linked to a subform (e.g. a scoped item on a survey, or a defect on an Inspection) then the survey will open and the inspection will scroll to the specific feature.

  1. Choose to pan the drawing to find the balloon’s pointer tip or to show the text.

  2. Type text here to search in the list for specific balloon text

  3. Click on list entry to highlight it on the drawing

  4. You can also click on the pointer tip or text balloon on the drawing to find it in the list

  5. Link to the original inspection
