Adding a New Version of a Drawing

Any images displayed are representative only and may differ depending on the version being used.

Selecting a Drawing for Editing

Click on the Edit Version button or the Drawing Name. You will see all the versions of that drawing that have been loaded. The ”Current Version’ will have a thick green border.



Click on 'Edit Drawing' to update the drawing name.

Adding a new version

From the drawing screen click on 'New Version'.  This will take you to the New Version screen, which has all the same functions as the New Drawing screen except you will not be able to edit the drawing name. 


Follow the same process of choosing a file to add a new version.


After saving the new version, If you want it to be the current version (as used by staff in the field and using the Hub), then you will need to click on "Make Current".

Changing the current version

From the drawing screen, locate the version you want to be current and click the "Make Current" button. The change is immediate for all users


  • Users using the Work Package drawings screen will now see this version

  • Users editing inspections on the hub will now select this version

  • Sync requests from the app will now fetch this version


Editing a version

From the drawing screen locate the version you want to edit and click its 'Edit Version' button.



From the edit version screen you can:

  • Change the version name

  • Set up the transfer of all work from version to version.


Click 'Save Version' to save your changes.

Moving all annotations onto the new version

If you get a new drawing version that does not line up with the current version (for example it is smaller, rotated or in a different place on the drawing), please contact Clarinspect Support and we can assist you with updating the version information in order to correctly position the annotations on this drawing when viewing it in a Work Package.
