You will need to set up a spreadsheet with the right headers. Specifying text for text fields is easy, but if you want to load a specific value into a drop down you will need to know the lookup used. Ask Clarinspect for the lookups for drop down lists etc.
To get the headers, create a dummy inspection in the Hub of the type you want to load, then export it as xlsx. (For more information on how to export data please read Exporting Data from the Hub).
When you open this you will see two two rows of headers - one for humans to read and one for computers. Row 2 are the field names the software uses.
This is what the output will look like:
2. You can also safely delete columns A → J (unless you are planning on doing a bulk edit, in which case please read Bulk Editing through Importing).
3. Add in the data to the relevant columns that you are wanting to import.
Save the file as an .xlsx (for your records) and also as a CSV UTF-8 (this is what you will be importing back into the hub).
You can pre-load your Workpackage with data about the items that are being assessed.
Click on the 'Workpackages' link in the Left Menu to show the Workpackage List.
Then click on the Workpackage name to open it.
Now choose the file to import, go to the “Import inspections from csv” on the lower right side of the screen.
If you have more than one type of inspection on your Work Package you will need to choose which type you are loading the data into. Click on the drop down list (for example, “Bridge Inspection v0.1” in the image below) to select the template format you want to import. The CSV file and the assessment template need to be appropriate for the target template you are trying to load.
Click on the 'Choose File' button and browse to a file with the data for the specified system to load.
Click on the 'Import' button only when you have chosen a file to load.
