Setting up Offices and Sites

Setting up Offices and Sites

A Work Package can represent many different ways of working. It could be a Site, a Job, a Building, a Time Frame (eg a months work) or a bucket of business-as-usual ongoing inspections.

To better organise your Work Packages, you can divide these into Offices and Sites.

The Offices and Sites tab is found to the left of the hub.

This allows you to navigate to specific Work Packages more easily, rather than  trying to filter and search for the ones you want

Note that the hierarchy of Office / Site → Client → Work Package is purely for filing and finding Work Packages. They can be changed, edited, deleted at any point and it will not affect the actual Work Packages or Inspections.

There are many ways that you can use Offices and Sites to organise your Workpackages. This is more easily described as a two level filing system.  If you want some help with setting this up there are notes below, alternatively you are welcome to get in touch with Clarinspect Support or your Onboarding Lead.

Setting up Offices and Sites

Adding a new Office / Site

Click on the green New Office / Site button.

Enter a name, and an optional description, then click on Create New Office / Site

Once an Office / Site is added you can add clients under it.

Adding a new Client

Click on the name of the Office / Site that you want to add the client under.

Under the Office / Site you can click the green New Client button to add new clients. The delete option does not delete any Work Packages under the Client.

Deleting an Office / Site or Client DOES NOT delete the Work Packages themselves.

Enter a name, and an optional description, then click on Create New Client

Once a Client is added you can add new Work Packages under it, or you can go to the Settings tab of existing Work Packages to link them together.

Adding Work Packages to a Client

Click on the Client Name. You will get a similar view to the Work Packages list.

If you click on New Work Package you will see the usual 'New Work Package' screen. You will notice that Office / Site + Client is prepopulated for you.

If you edit an existing Work Package you can set the Office / Site + Client field. It will then appear under that Client.
