Working with Images in the App

Working with Images in the App

Using annotations

In Clarinspect you can annotate an image to:

  1. Show location of something

  2. Add some useful text

  3. Add shapes/colours to define an area of the image

Android

To annotate an image in the app:

  1. Tap the photo

  2. Press the + button to bring up the annotation options

  3. Choose the shape you would like to use

  4. Use the buttons down the right hand side to change the colour / style of the shape

  5. Resize/move the shape using the dots on the corners of the shape

Top Tip: If you have a shape selected when you add the next one, it will copy the colours, transparency and thickness of the existing selected shape.

When a shape has green dots, you can move the shape around

To rotate or resize a shape, tap one side of it - the green dot with a black border is locked and you can use the larger green dot to resize/rotate

Rectangles are slightly different:

To move a rectangle, tap the left side to activate 2 green dots

To resize rectangles tap one side or corner of the rectangle and this will give you red dots which you can move.

To rotate a rectangle, tap the top or bottom left corner which you are wanting to rotate. This will go green and the opposite left side corner will ‘lock’ (black and green dot).

iOS

To annotate an image in the app:
  1. Tap the photo

  2. Press the shapes icon to bring up the annotation options

  3. Choose the shape you would like to use

  4. Tap and drag on the screen to create the shape

  5. Use the buttons down the right hand side to change the colour / style of the shape

  6. Resize the shape using the dots on the corners of the shape

Top Tip: If you have a shape selected when you add the next one, it will copy the colours, transparency and thickness of the existing selected shape.

When a shape has green dots, you can move the shape around

To rotate or resize a shape, tap the side you are wanting to move. This will stay as a green dot and the other dot will turn black to show it is locked.
