Pinning to site plans on the app

In Clarinspect when you are using the app out on site you can pin items directly onto a site plan.

Pinning items to a plan makes locations clear and accurate, helping inspectors, contractors, and clients quickly understand where each item is on site. 

Marked up site plans carry through to reporting, making reports easier to interpret.

This guide explains how to use plan pins to:

  • Add a new item

  • Copy an existing item

  • Link a previously created item


How to Pin to a Site Plan


  1. Tap on site plan 



On Android… 


  1. Make sure you have zoomed in to be accurate with pin placement 

  2. Tap on the ‘+’ to bring up the drop down

  3. On the drop down, tap on ‘Text Balloon’

  1. Choose the form you are wanting to link to the site plan.  The options available to you will depend on the set up of your system.

  2. If you are wanting to annotate, rather than link a form then enter the text here.

On iOS 

Tap on this icon

 

Tap on this icon to add a text balloon or to link a feature. 

The process from here is the same as android, as shown in this guide below. 


Adding a New Item


  1. Tap on ‘New’

  2. Tap ‘OK’ 

If you are using prefills, the next screen will ask you to choose from your prefill options. You can either skip or select.


  1. Choose your prefill

  2. Tap ‘OK’


If you do not use prefills, you will not need to do this step.

The item created is now placed on the site plan image. 


  1. Tap here to go to the new item you have created to add in information like normal.

Copying an Existing Item


Follow the steps above in ‘Adding a New Item’ but instead of ‘New’, 

  1. Tap on ‘Copy of’

  2. Tap ‘OK’

This will bring up a list of existing items. Choose the item you would like to copy and Tap ‘OK’


Once your item is added you can enter the form as shown above in ‘Adding a New Item’.


Linking to an Existing Item

If you have already created items which are not shown on the site plan, you can add these in as linked pins.


Follow the steps above in ‘Adding a New Item’ but instead of ‘New’, 

  1. Tap on ‘Existing unlinked’’

  2. Tap ‘OK’

This will bring up a list of existing items. Choose the item you would like to pin to the site plan and Tap ‘OK’
