There are some key settings in the App that allow you to alter how sync works.
There are two ways that work is synced (pushed back to the hub).
Manual sync - by tapping the sync button
Background Sync - we automatically sync new data in the background at set time intervals. This helps to ensure data is synced in small parts and there is not a big sync that could potentially get stopped by the android device.
The app auto syncs inspections in the background. You can choose the time in between these auto syncs.
If ‘Allow mobile data usage’ is not turned on, then Clarinspect will not sync unless it is within a wifi signal.
If you turn on mobile data usage, you need to select:
Download only OR
Full sync
Download only: when you hit sync you are only pulling work onto your device.
Full sync: data will be used to pull inspections onto your device, and push your complete/return to work inspections back to the hub.
Inspections that are complete or being returned to the hub cannot be edited while they are syncing.
Items waiting to sync will have a syncing icon. This could be a small blue arrow, or the small blue circle as shown in the image below.
Once a sync is in progress you cannot start another.
This means that if you 'Complete All and Sync' in one Work Package, you will have to wait for it to finish before you can sync any other work.
Any inspections sent to the hub will go into the ‘sent to hub’ column, and may also be found in the ‘available’ work screen.
