Getting started using the Hub

Getting started using the Hub

Clarinspect is made up of an app and a hub. The hub is the admin centre, and also a great place to edit or complete inspections after you’ve finished out on site.  The hub is also where you will access your reports.

When you log into the Hub it will take you to the Work Packages tab.

NB. If you are a member of more than one organisation you can swap between them using the drop down arrow.

User Profile:

This is where you can add your contact details, choose your time zone, and set/change your password.

See Changing your Password for more details.

Click on the drop down box to see time zone options and select the appropriate one..

Main Menu:

1 - Organisation Home

If you are an ADMIN you will see the Organisation Home tab. This holds the details for your organisation, annual licence usage, and where you can enable features (approvals, drawing sets, summary reports, offices and sites, reviews) and add your logo.

See these user guides for more information: Adding your Logo into the Hub

2 - Work Packages

This is where you find a list of all the work packages that you have set up. It shows the active work packages. To see a draft, on hold or archived work package, use the filters on the right.

See user guides for more info:

3 - Offices and Sites

One way of organising your Work Packages is to divide them into Offices and Sites. It allows you to navigate to specific Work packages more easily, rather than trying to filter and search for the ones you want. Some teams will separate this out by office in a location, or for different arms of the business e.g. the Coatings team and the Firestopping team.

For more information see this user guide: Setting up Offices and Sites

4 - Library

This holds a list of all of your inspection types. You can filter them by Name and Date.

Click the blue header to edit settings, such as turning on/off report notifications.

5 - Members

This is where you can invite new members and see current registered staff, their organisation role within Clarinspect (eg user, admin, assessor). From here an admin can add new staff members, change their roles, and add/edit details. Eg qualifications, job title, phone number and upload a signature. See user guides for more information:

6 - Drawing Sets

This menu item will only appear if you have drawing sets enabled.

Drawings sets serve three purposes:

  1. To provide the field staff with a consistent set of site plans / images that they can re-use

  2. To consolidate all annotations and inspections into one drawing.

  3. To load Technical Support documents (commonly used for Passive Fire)

See this user guide for more information: Working with Drawings - The Essentials

7 - Approval List

For some businesses Clarinspect can feed data back into their own software system. In that situation the data in Clarinspect must be “Approved “ and locked so the system knows it is ready to be exported out of Clarinspect. If you are assigned as an approver, then this is where the list of inspections for approval across all Work Packages is located. (There is also an Approval tab under each Work Package). If you are interested in using this feature, please get in touch with our team.

If you are not using this feature, you can untick it on the Organisation Home screen and it will not be shown on your Hub.

8 - Support Portal

Click here and you will be redirected to our Support Portal. From there you can search our knowledge base of articles, user guides and FAQs or submit a ticket for support. This is always the first place you go for help.
